Meet Laura Camila, a marketer, innovator, and advocate. Laura Camila is not your typical marketing professional. She’s a visionary, an advocate for change, and a relentless champion of equity and empowerment. With a stellar track record, Laura has made her mark in marketing, innovation, and community leadership.
Laura began her journey in the world of marketing at a change leadership consulting firm, Kotter, where she laid the foundation for her career. She honed her skills and developed a keen understanding of how to drive positive change through strategic marketing. Her journey also includes her role as the Director of Marketing & Communications at Commonwealth Corporation, where she significantly contributed to the organization’s success and growth.
Throughout her career, Laura has taken on roles that reflect her passion for making a difference. As the Director of Marketing at ALPFA Boston, she applied her marketing prowess to advance the organization’s goals. Her impact was undeniable, leaving a lasting legacy.
Laura doesn’t stop at marketing; she’s a multifaceted professional. Serving on the governance board at Now+There, a prominent public art curator, Laura brings her expertise to the forefront of the art world. Her commitment to social justice is evident as the Director of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion at the Young Nonprofits Professional Network of Boston. Here, she raises funds, leads transformative change, and advocates for policy reform within the nonprofit sector.
Laura’s remarkable contributions have not gone unnoticed. In 2022, she was honored as one of El Mundo Boston’s Latino 30 Under 30. Her influence extends beyond her community, as she is distinguished as one of ALX100’s most influential Latinos, a testament to her substantial contributions to her field.
In her commitment to social causes, Laura volunteers for ACOMERPR, a nonprofit dedicated to Puerto Rico’s food security and agriculture. She also serves as a board member for United Latinas, an organization focused on women’s empowerment and leadership development.
Driven by her passion for empowering organizations, Laura founded CAMI Studio. Through her agency, she provides invaluable support and services to nonprofits, BIPOC, and Women Owned small businesses. Her mission is to empower these organizations to achieve their objectives, with a particular focus on productivity, creative branding, and innovative marketing strategies.
